State of Arizona Agencies and Affiliates

In the fall of 2017, the State of Arizona awarded DRS a three-year contract to provide document conversion, archive, and management services for all of its state agencies, associations and committees. DRS has provided document scanning services to the state since 2007, but this new contract features a more comprehensive and robust strategy to enhance the state’s document management operations.

The State Of Arizona Needed A New Document Management System. DRS Had The Solution.

The collaboration ties into Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s policy agenda to reform government operations and improve cybersecurity. The partnership empowers the State of Arizona to become a more process-efficient government entity.

“This was a competitive bid, and DRS is honored to receive the highest score based on rigorous evaluation criteria,” said  Michael Liess of DRS. “This partnership will enable Arizona’s agencies to use our systems to efficiently and effectively manage data—which we’re proud to say will directly benefit their citizens.”

The state will utilize our suite of DMS solutions, a web-hosted document management system to streamline workflow and securely centralize data, as well as Mercury, an archiving and retrieval system for cost-effective storage and easy access to archived data. DRS has a regional office in Scottsdale, Ariz., which makes it one of three total local entities who submitted a proposal.

State personnel will accelerate constituent services; deliver high-quality information to key decision makers more quickly; and digitize public records to comply with requests, inquiries, and retention rates.
