Mercy College of Northwest Ohio is a primarily undergraduate Catholic institution of higher education focused on healthcare and health science programs. Mercy College of Northwest Ohio partnered with Daida to digitize their historical student records, ensuring the preservation of valuable documents and improving customer service. THE CHALLENGE:
Mercy College faced the challenge of preserving aging paper records dating back to the 1920s, which were at risk of deterioration and loss. The inefficient storage and retrieval of paper documents hindered customer service, and there was a need for secure storage and controlled access to sensitive student information. Additionally, the college desired to free up physical space occupied by file cabinets.
THE SOLUTION:
Daida implemented the RADIX document management system to address Mercy College’s challenges. The solution included digitizing historical student records to preserve valuable documents and mitigate the risk of loss due to deterioration. The secure digital repository with login and password protection ensured controlled access to sensitive student information, and the web-based access allowed for efficient retrieval of documents, eliminating the need for physical file cabinets.
IMPLEMENTATION:
Daida’s implementation process for Mercy College included the installation and configuration of the RADIX scanning and document management system. RADIX seamlessly integrated with the college’s existing EMPOWER student information system, enabling access to scanned records directly from the EMPOWER interface. Training for all staff members was completed in less than a month. Daida provided ongoing support and guidance to help Mercy College adopt RADIX across the institution.
